born a west-berliner, cle had his first dj residency in autumn1989 at “fischlabor” bar, the small older sister of the famous “tresor” club, where he presented a blend of dub,rare grooves, lover ́s rock, hip hop and electronica every wednesday. shortly after “tresor” opened it ́s gates at potsdamer platz he ( and his dj mate terri belle ) took over the upper “globus” floor on saturdays, playing quite the same kind of musical mix, adding some hours of underground house music towards the end of each night.

1991 cle got involved with the “planet” crew, who encouraged him to play at their illegal warehouse raves, which lead to a residency at the legendary “e-werk” club from 1993 – 1997. during this time he also worked behind the desk at the unforgettable “new noise” record store. and started hosting his first “own” night – kaspar ́s camp at the ( later “society” club ) ” 90° ” also he played a lot of parties in the area like f.e. all the various locations of the “wmf” club ( ” big sexyland! ” ) or the well remembered “bonito house” fiestas at “tresor”. 1998 he and his partner Mike Vamp founded the highly successful electronic/pop/house/ambient project ” Märtini Brös” ( still around and kicking today…) and the obscure new wave / electro combo ” artist unknown. alltogether they released 6 albums and countless 12″es and remixes by now. at the same time ( also until today ) he started releasing first tracks together with his long time friend Steve Bug on his label “poker flat recordings”. also around those days cle decided to establish a new party series called “cle fc” focussing strictly on deep house at the “discount club” which later would be the “casino”, but, after a short intermezzo at “pfefferbank” under the same title, due to the fact of growing worldwide interest in live / dj shows, there was not time enough to continue these projects. but still ( until today ) he loved playing in berlin the most, so regular shows in berlin ́s best clubs like “cookies”, “weekend”, “watergate” and numerous off-parties were ( and are ) a must. 2002 he alongside Terri Belle and Daniel W. Best feat. Dixon founded the collective ” washing machine ” throwing old school house jams once or twice a year to entertain an ever growing crowd until today. after a 2 year break from the “game” and running a nice little cocktail bar in berlin-mitte, cle decided to join in again in january 2011.
