Starting out in the mid nineties as one half of pioneering UK garage outfit Groove Chronicles (back then still a duo with production partner El-B), Steven Jude aka Noodles created his own hybrid sound incorporating elements of 2step, soulful House, R&B, Jungle, and Breakbeats, on top of bottom-heavy basslines. Whilst in the forefront of the UKG/2step scene and founding his highly influential DPR and Groove Chronicles imprints, Noodles released a plethora of seminal underground anthems including ‘Stone Cold’, ‘Shattered’, ‘1999′, or ‘Angel Body’, which all became classics of the genre. Over the years he’s also produced a bunch of official and unoffical remixes for the likes of Lucy Pearl, Dru Hill, Goldie, and Destiny’s Child, just to name a few. Groove Chronicles’ trademark production style includes smooth and playful 2step garage sounds as well as stripped down, 4-to-the-floor house rhythms, a style that helped to shape a unique sound aesthetic building the foundation for genres like Grime, Dubstep and UK Funky.
