Nottingham based DJ/Producer Danny Berman (aka Red Rack’em/Hot Coins) has had a pretty hectic couple of years.

He performed at the Radio 1 Worldwide Awards, Snowbombing, Garden Festival, Glastonbury and The Big Chill as well as releasing massive house and disco records on record labels including Tirk, Untracked, Home Taping and Undertones. Danny is also an acclaimed remixer for artists such as Tricky, Joubert Singers, The Revenge, Ron Basejam and his Smugglers Inn radio show/podcast regularly pulls in thousands of listeners around the globe with upfront selections and guestmixes.

Danny recently launched his own label Bergerac and November 2010 saw the release of his critically acclaimed debut album ‘The Early Years’, a mix of deep house, disco, beatdown and electro boogie which was awarded album of the month by German dance bible De:Bug Magazine. Danny launched the album in Tokyo late last year with a week of gigs and press and has continued the Early Years album tour into 2011 with DJ dates in London, Paris, Berlin, Belgrade, Bristol, Vienna, Zagreb, Tallinn and Helsinki. April 2011 will see him hit Australia for the first time with a 4 date tour and then he will return to a new home in Berlin to finish off the next album project and focus on his label Bergerac. The first single on Bergerac ‘How I Program’ has gone down as a bit of

techno classic with support from a wide range of DJs including Motor City Drum Ensemble, Kyle Hall, Mike Huckaby and Gilles Peterson. The follow up single ŒFeel My Tears¹ will be released in late April. 2011 looks like an even busier year with more Bergerac singles on the way, the long awaited Hot Coins album and the launch of a vinyl only label ‘Nettles’.
