CRACKAZAT (LIVE SET)

Originally from Bristol, Ben J Worrall is a musician, producer and composer, with a formal background in jazz composion and performance. Since his emergence on the international scene, he has quickly become recognised for his distinctly jazzy, warm and organic take on electronic music. 2012 saw the debut release of his downtempo „Explanation“ EP on Astrdynamica, showcased his skill for downtempo beats and synthfunk. However it was his first exploration in to club music with the „Tunnel“ EP on Futureboogie Records.

His relocation to Sweden the same year kick-started an alliance with Swedish house label Local Talk, where he has had multiple releases and remixes gaining support from Disclosure, Detroit Swindle, Homework and consistently ranking top spots in Resident Advisor and DJ Mag.
 

In 2015 Crackazat dropped his full-length debut album “Crescendo” on Local Talk – an album that combines electronically enhanced house and downtempo beats with soulful and jazzy melodies. Imagine a cocktail of jazzy Underground Resistance or Floating Points blended with a soulful UK garage mentality and spiced up with some electronic hip hop beats and you’re almost there.

When it comes to performing live, Crackazat’s swirling keyboard solos over improvised reworks of his productions make every show a truly unique and thrilling experience.
