SCHWARZMANN SOIREE
Columbia Theater Berlin / XJAZZ Festival
In advance of Berlin’s XJAZZ Festival, Henrik Schwarz and Âme’s Frank Wiedemann presented a rare live show of their SCHWARZMANN project at Berlin’s Columbia Theater on May 4, 2016. The improvised performance featured appearances by Pat Thomas, Ben Westbeech, Bugge Wesseltoft, Etienne Jaumet, Kahil El’Zabar, Osunlade, David Lemaitre and Robert Owens. The three-hour live show was presented by Telekom Electronic Beats and is now exclusively available for streaming on EB.TV and EB.Radio.

Frank Wiedemann and Henrik Schwarz inaugurated SCHWARZMANN back in 2012. Since then, the duo has played a few select shows and gained praise for their take on live improvisation. Both producers are core members of Berlin’s Innervisions label. Henrik Schwarz is known for his love of jazz, most notably his frequent live sets and collaborations with Norway’s jazz maestro Bugge Wesseltoft, which also resulted in their 2011 album "Duo". Frank Wiedemann, who’s also one half of Âme, on the other hand, has been exploring a more melodic and poppier side of dance music with his latest project Howling.
